This mock-up site has been created to demonstrate a potential way to connect classmates in online courses . It is not able to be or meant to be used as it is a mock-up.

Julia Jaschke

 

Julia Jaschke has a Bachelor of Arts as well as a Bachelor of Education from the University of British Columbia. She is currently in UBC’s  Masters of Educational Technology, or MET, Program. She began this program in 2018 and will be completing it this December, 2020. She is currently an intermediate teacher with the Okanagan school district in British Columbia teaching Grade 6. She has been teaching for 6 years, one year as a Teacher on Call, and the other years in classrooms from Grades 5-7.

 

Being part of the MET program, has given Julia the opportunity to participate in 8 fully online online courses. She also taken a few online courses in her undergraduate program. In addition to this, she now has had some experience in creating and facilitating an online learning environment due to Covid.

 

Julia's experiences have lead her to the creation of this proposition for a peer collaboration and support program that can be used  in an online learning environment.
