Twine reminds me of choose your own adventure novels. I was never a big reader in elementary school, but those books were the ones I could get behind (along with Archie comics).

Like choose your own adventure novels, Twine provides a space where we are not confined to a traditional this then that storyline but to a this then that, or that, or that. It also allows for reader choice and the ability to revisit a story and perceive it through a different lens.


Twine is an example of how technology has allowed a space for text to be seen and manipulated structurally, as described by Bolter (2001). It supports interaction by both the writer and the reader in a visual format. My mapping of ideas is displayed below:
