Developing partnerships and working collaboratively with Teachers, Resource Teacher, Librarian, and EAs.

Developing strong relationships with students, parents, coworkers, administration and support staff.

Creating and maintaining a strong classroom environment including designing classroom layout and bulletin boards displaying student work.

                        Responsibilities included:

Creating, planning and implementing a Science unit through inquiry and problem based approaches, and “hands-on” applications.

Planning, organizing, and implementing a field trip to the Richmond Nature Park.

Hamilton Community Centre

            Head Supervisor of School Age Child Care Programs (June 2010 – August 2014)

                        Responsibilities included:

Overall on floor supervision of all staff and volunteers of Hamilton’s Child Care Programs including creation and implementation of staff and volunteer evaluations and learning paths.

Creating, planning, implementing and evaluating staff training retreat with a budget of $2,500.

Overall supervision of programming for all Child Care Programs including the creation and implementation of behavioral policies, Pro-D Day organization and snack planning and purchasing with a monthly budget of $700.

Creating, planning, implementing and evaluating special events for families (approximately 180 people) including the Pumpkin Carving Evening, Winter Gala and Year End BBQ.

 

School Age Child Development Supervisor ( June 2007 – August 2014)

            Responsibilities included:

Creating, planning, implementing and evaluating age appropriate programming for children ages 5 to 13.

Supervision of children ages 5-13 years.

Managing program budget, including purchasing of supplies and completing monthly advance reconciliations.

Creating newsletters, calendars and information updates for families.

Training and supporting staff members and volunteers.

Forming partnerships with community members to utilize local resources.

Applied and received the Emily Longworth Memorial Grant to help fund transportation and a field trip to the Richmond Schoolyard Society.
